  • 1813 first commissioned by Michael PATTERSHALL at Plymouth on 7 October 1813. She was employed for a short time off the north coast of Spain.
  • ADDER arrived at Plymouth in the spring of 1814 a victim of the gales in the Bay of Biscay.
    For two days she had been in danger of foundering as she was driven towards a lee shore and to save the ship it was necessary to jettison all her guns. She needed considerable repairs at Plymouth before being ordered to take station off Bordeaux. She was afterwards sent to the Halifax station where where Cdr. PATTERSHALL was appointed to JASEUR in June 1814.
