  • 1820 Henry STANOPE, 05/1820, Brazils. He removed to the SLANEY (20) on 5 March 1821, joining her in Rio de la Plata on 20 October.
  • 1822 Hon. Fred. SPENCER, 03/1821, Brazils.
  • 1823 Thos. PORTER, 08/1822, South America. He returned home from Brazil on 19 July 1823 with 1,000,000 dollars belonging to British merchants.

    In May 1825 ALACRITY accompanied the frigate SERINGAPATAM, Charles SOTHEBY, to Rhodes where the Bey had refused to compensate the British consul after Egyptian troops had broken into his house and stolen 11,000 piastres. The consul and his family were embarked and when the Bey still refused to comply a shot was fired into his own house.
    This had the desired effect and the consul returned. ALACRITY remained at Rhodes to protect British interests.

    Over the 9-10 April 1826 JOHNSTONE sent her boats under Lieut. Richard TRISCOTT to destroy 3 Greek pirate vessels off the island of Psara.
    Forty of the Greeks were killed and seventy prisoners taken in a tower which protected the vessels.
    TRISCOTT and three seamen were badly wounded.
    Lieut. WHEATLEY suffered severe burns.
  • 1827 Robert Lambert BAYNES. He was promoted out ASIA on the Mediterranean station on 8 July 1827 and re-appointed to ASIA the following September after the battle of Navarino.
