  • 1771 Capt. Samuel BARRINGTON. ALBION was one of the ships ordered to be put into commission at Chatham on account of the dispute with Spain over the Falklands.
  • 1778 Capt. George BOWYER, with the fleet of 13 ships of the line sent to New York under Vice Ad. John BYRON. They sailed on 9 June.
    In June July 1779, while BYRON was using his ships to escort a large home-bound convoy from St. Kitts, d'Estaing took advantage of his absence to capture the islands of St. Vincent and Grenada. In the latter place he captured 30 important merchant ships.
  • 1782 Capt. J. COLPOYS, fitting at Chatham for foreign service.
  • 1784 Out of commission at Chatham serviceable.
