    In August ASSAULT was re-fitting in the Hamoaze and on the 22nd was reported nearly ready for sea.
    In September she took part in a bombardment of Granville and suffered damage when she took the ground and had to throw some of her guns overboard. Although the French accounts claimed that she had been destroyed, her crew got her off at high water and she returned to Plymouth for repairs. She sailed again on 13 October to rejoin the squadron off Guernsey.
  • 1807 Plymouth Spithead. Became a dockyard lighter in 1817 and was sold in June 1827.
