    When the PETERS of Hamburg put into Harwich in a distressed state at the beginning of December 1798 having lost her cables and anchors, Mr APPLEBIE, the master of the BLAZER, went on board to press the hands and discovered that she was carrying linen, arms and gunflints, valued at 45,000 pounds, to France. All her papers were seized before the crew could destroy them.
