  • 1822 John Edward WALCOTT, he was appointed to CARNATION on 14 September 1821 and she sailed for the West Indies on 4 January 1822.
    During the following August, being off the west end of Cuba, she fell in with, and gave protection to, trade passing through the Florida stream from Jamaica to England.
    He was posted into TYNE in Jamaica in May 1822 but had no opportunity to join her until December.
