- 1845 Under Edward Augustus INGLEFIELD (act.) COMUS took part in the operations in the Parana River in November 1845 (see PHILOMEL) when an Anglo-French squadron forced its way through a boom covered by Argentine batteries. She lost two men killed, including Lieut. Charles John BRICKDALE, and two wounded.
