  • 1798 Capt. James STEVENSON, to Portugal on 31 January 1799.

  • EUROPA took part in the landings at Aboukir Bay on 8 March 1801.
    Lieut. George THOMAS and one seaman were wounded.
    During the following couple of months leading up to the surrender of the French in Cairo Capt. STEVENSON was in command of the flotilla of djerms, flat-boats, ships boats and Turkish gunboats operating on the Nile to support the allied armies.
