  • 1836 Capt. Sir John S. PEYTON, 06/1836, North America and West Indies.
  • 1838 Capt. Provo William Parry WALLIS. She was with the British squadron off the coast of Mexico in 1838 to 1839 during French operations there.
    (The Flag officer was Vice Ad. Sir Charles PAGET in CORNWALLIS).
    On 19 January 1839 her pinnace broke adrift in a northerly gale while she was lying off Sacrificios. The Gunner and 17 men set out in the cutter to recover it but both boats were swamped and 11 men were drowned.
