At the beginning of 1801 she was on passage to the Mediterranean. - 1803 Ditto, Malta.
- 1807 Capt. Edward Durnford KING, was appointed to her in the spring of 1807 and escorted a convoy taking Rear Ad. William O'Brien DRURY to India on 15 September. She took part in the capture of the Danish settlement of Tramquebar and convoyed home a valuable fleet of Indiamen.
- MONMOUTH was put out of commission on 24 September 1808 and then fitted out for special service at Portsmouth.
