  • 1805 Lieut. Charles SHACKLETON, Portsmouth.
    Twenty miles to the N. W. of Guernsey on the morning on 26 April 1806 REBUFF gave chase to a French lugger privateer.
    At 2 o'clock in the afternoon the MAYFLOWER privateer cutter from Guernsey joined in the pursuit from the windward and at half past four the lugger surrendered to her after a chase of nearly nine hours. She was the SORCIERE of 16 guns and 46 men out of St Malo for four days.
