    American waters during the War of 1812.
  • Her boats took part in the attack on the American privateer GENERAL ARMSTRONG on 26 September 1814 at Fayal in the Azores.
    Her first and third lieutenants, William MATTERFACE and Charles R. NORMAN were killed and Royal Marine lieutenants Richard Rawle and Thomas Park were wounded.

  • Later she was senior ship in a squadron operating off the coast of Georgia.
    In January 1815 Capt BARRIE of DRAGON reported to Capt. SOMERVILLE that he had captured Cumberland Island and taken possession of a fort at Point Petre in Georgia.
