  • 1796 Capt. Thomas Le Marchant GOSSELIN, 07/1796, St. Marcou station.
    In March 1798 she convoyed a large fleet of merchantmen to Jamaica and the West Indies. The captain was presented with a valuable sword by the masters to thank him for their safe arrival.
  • She was present at the surrender of Surinam on 20 August 1799 and afterwards escorted a convoy to England.
    In July 1800 she cruised off Havre de Grace, returning to Portsmouth on the 21st. when relieved by PROSELYTE.
    During the summer of 1800 she was in attendance on King George III at Weymouth, returning to Portsmouth on 9 October with CAMBRIAN and SAN FIORENZO.
    On 29 November she sailed for Cork.
  • In February 1801 SYREN again escorted an outward bound West Indies convoy.
    Capt. GOSSELIN removed into MELAMPUS (26), in Jamaica on 23 October 1801 and was replaced by Capt. HORTON.
  • 1803 Out of commission at Plymouth
