TARTAR Lugger Letter of Marque owned by Peter MAINGY & Sons of Guernsey.
  • On 18 March 1804 they reported to Rear-Ad. SAUMAREZ that their lugger, Francis Pironet, master, armed with ten 4-pounders and with 50 men, had captured the French brig JEUNE HENRI of Bordeaux, two days out of Viverro in Spain. She was a fine, British built vessel, armed with twelve 12-pounders and two 4-pounders and also with 50 men on board of whom two were wounded. Her master was Rio Delagesse.
