  • She was taken by VENUS and JUNO on 30 January 1761.
  • 1762 Capt. TOBYN. On 23 October 1762, while BRUNE was on a cruise off Cartagena, she captured, after an obstinate engagement, captured the OISEAU, a French frigate of 26 guns and 240 men, 49 of whom were either killed or wounded, among the latter was her commander, the chevalier de Mode, who lost his right arm. BRUNE had 6 men killed, and Capt. TOBYN and 13 wounded. OISEAU was added to the Royal Navy.
