CENTURION (34) Built in 1650.
Wrecked in 1689.
  • 1670 with Commodore Richard BEACH's squadron (HAMPSHIRE, PORTSMOUTH, JERSEY and CENTURION) acting against Algerine corsairs in the Straits. In September 1674 CENTURION was in Portsmouth Harbour, unrigged and all her guns taken out.
  • In the severe winter gales of 1689 she was wrecked on Mount Batten in Plymouth Sound on 25th. December.
