  • 1697 Capt. John WARELL, he was sent to Newfoundland the following year. He sailed from there as convoy to the ships bound for the Mediterranean, arriving at Leghorn at the end of November.
  • 1701 Capt. James BERKELEY, appointed on 2nd April, not long after he was promoted to the LITCHFIELD.
  • 1703 Capt. Jonathon SPANN, appointed on the re-commencement of the war with France. He was sent to Newfoundland where he captured some valuable ships, including one of 20 guns.
  • 1703 Capt. Thomas CAMPION, appointed on 2nd August. His conduct was so reprehensible that he was dismissed from command by a court martial held on 31st. March 1704. He was also imprisoned for twelve months.
  • 1704 Capt. William CONEY, appointed on 1st. April 1704, and was afterwards promoted to the ROMNEY.
  • 1705 captured by the French off Dogger Bank.
  • 1711 Recaptured.
