Hello,
I have also wondered where the web site went. But, looking through Google search, I arrived here.
I have been using Michael Phillips Data for years now, and I am now updating it to include the years 1739 to 1815.
I have many books in my collection, and am reading and taking the data out of them as I do.
It's a long job, but a satisfying one. I hope to be able to share my work.
Best wishes,
Richard |

That's certainly a great potential ressource.
MP database is certainly incomplete. Any addition or correction will certainly be welcomed by many people.
Let us know if we can be of any help.

Hello,
Thanks for the replies.
Many years ago, I started a card index on the Royal Navy ships, between the years, 1739 to 1815, This was before I got into PC's. Now, with the Lists started by MIchael Phillips, I have joined my cards to his lists. I reckon I have added a couple of hundred new ships that served with the RN. As I said, I am now adding even more information to them.
The Lists for the Napoleonic wars have been very well updated, but I am now starting on the American Revolutionary wars data. If anybody would like to know of that period for ships, I would be glad to try to help them if possible.
Best wishes
