'Tars & Tarts: Life in Nelson's Navy', an illustrated talk on St George's Day based on our book Jack Tar. To be held in the library at IVYBRIDGE, near Plymouth (Devon), arranged by Ivybridge Library Friends. The library is in a new building called The Watermark and is half a mile from the railway station (address: The Watermark, Erme Court, Leonards Road, Ivybridge, PL21 0SZ), with a car park adjacent. The event will be from 8pm to 9.30pm, on Thursday 23rd April 2009! There will be a small charge of £3, to include refreshments. Tickets are on sale now from Ivybridge Library, contact phone number 01752 893140.
All are welcome - and do pass the word round to anyone who might be interested. Many thanks,
Roy and Lesley Adkins |

Unfortunately, the library has had to cancel this event - our next Jack Tar talk will be at the Dartington Ways with Words festival on Wednesday 15th July, at 2pm. Dartington is near Totnes in Devon, a very popular literary festival.
