Can someone help me? A little while ago I went looking for any information of the Spanish frigate Santa Brigida in the year 1799, there isn't a whole lot of information to be had but what little I found said the frigate carried a crew of 302 and was armed with 34 guns.
Is this information correct?

A search of the London Gazette is often helpfull in these cases. You can often obtain particulars as to thenumber of men claimed by the captors to have been on board a prize. In this case see:
