Captured slavers ASTREA and THERESA on 9 Sept. 1847. - 1848 Out of commission at Portsmouth.
- 1857 Commissioned as a surveying vessel off "the coast of China and Tartary" by Capt. Wm. Thornton BATE who was shot dead by a gingal ball during the bombardment of Canton on 28 Dec.
- 1857.
Replaced by Robert JENKINS, 30 Dec. 1857. - 1858 John WARD (b) 1 March 1858. He was responsible for carrying out surveys in preparation for the operations of August 1859.
- 1866 Out of commission at Portsmouth, hulked and lent to Cork Harbour Board in 1870.
- Sold at Portsmouth in Feb. 1889.
