BELZEBUB Bomb Built in 1813, Bideford. She was completed in June 1813 at a total cost (hull + sails) of 9761 pounds.
Broken up in 1820.

  • 1816 William KEMPTHORNE, 02/7/1816. Plymouth. She had her top-gallant yards across seven days after being commissioned.
    At Algiers on 27 August 1816 the gunboats were anchored about 2,000 yards from the enemy works. BELZEBUB's mortar was fired once every 10 minutes. The mortar and rocket boats between them set all the vessels in the harbour on fire and the fire spread to the arsenal on the mole.
    This was her only commission.
