CABOT (14) Brig-sloop The American CABOT captured by MILFORD off Nova Scotia on 26 March 1777. Purchased for the RN in June.
Sold in 1783.

  • The American CABOT, Joseph Olney, was chased for 24 hours before being run ashore, and got off by Capt. John BURR of MILFORD (28), on 28 May.
  • 1779 English Channel.
    Part of a small squadron which captured two, and burned three, of the French ships escorting fishing boats of troops to invade Jersey in May.
