    On 6 October 1799 DART, CRACKER, HASTY, DEFENDER and the schuyt ISIS, sailed from Usk and at 4 AM
    their boats cut out four Dutch gunboats lying near the Pampus. Each of them mounted four long guns or carronades and one, purpose built, carried two long 18-pounders in her bow and two 18-pounder carronades on her broadside, the rest were schuyts.
