  • 1817 Hon. Charles Orlando BRIDGEMAN, 06/1817, fitting out for South America. He was posted in September 1819.
  • 1820 Henry ELIOT, 09/1819, Brazils. ICARUS returned to Portsmouth from Rio de Janeiro on 26 May 1821 and was put out of commission early in June.
  • 1822 Thomas HERBERT, 09/1821, Jamaica. He removed to CARNATION in May 1822 when Charles CROLE was appointed to ICARUS. He removed to SURINAM on 19 July. Alfred MATTHEWS, Jamaica.
    (He took a flight in a balloon belonging to a Mr Green from Hereford in October 1827.)
  • 1824 J. G. GRAHAM, 06/1823, Jamaica.
    In August 1824 her boats under Lieut. Chas. CROKER captured the DIABALETO (6) a pirate schooner with a crew of about 50 men. They also brought out a schooner laden with the plunder of the American brig HENRY of Hartford, the master and nine crew of which had experienced inhuman treatment and were to have been put to death the following day after they had unloaded the cargo.
