She undocked in Plymouth in January 1813 after under going a thorough repair. She appears in Steele's List for January 1814 as a new vessel built in 1813 and Clowes' list does not indicate that NEREIDE was taken into the Royal Navy. - 1813 Capt. Sir Lucius CURTIS (who commanded MAGICIENNE until she was lost at Mauritius), Channel fleet.
- 1815 Capt. Bentinck DOYLE, Channel fleet, then America.
- 1816 Cdr. William Augustus BAUMGART, He was promoted from lieutenant on 28 February 1815 and acted as captain of MADAGASCAR at Sheerness for about two months before commissioning RALEIGH.
