    In August 1848 SEALARK captured the brigantine SAN FRANCISCO as she was returning for a cargo of slaves at Gallinas.
    On 5 Sept.
    SEALARK chased a schooner to the limit of her station where the pursuit was taken up by BONETTA. She proved to be the LOUIZA carrying one of the most notorious slave dealers on the coast.
    Later in the month SEALARK and BONETTA captured the brig ACHILLES, fitted for shipping 1,000 slaves.
