  • 1692 Capt. Francis WYVILL, with Ad. Edward RUSSELL'S fleet at the Battle of Barfleur against the French under Tourville in May. In July WYVILL encountered three French privateers in the Channel, Two fled and the third, with 28 guns, fought for three hours before surrendering, losing sixty killed and wounded out of 200.
  • 1692 Capt. John BRIDGES(2), appointed in September. Cruising off east coast of Scotland, he captured three privateers and carried them into Orkney.
  • 1694 Capt. John PRICE. 1704 Capt. John HERNE, with Sir George ROOKE's Anglo-Dutch fleet in the battle with the Franco-Spanish fleet off Velez Malaga, CENTURION lost ten killed and thirty three wounded. 1708 Capt. William FAIRBORNE, Mediterranean, he died at Livorno (Leghorn) on 5th. October 1808.
  • 1708 Capt. John MIHILL, 18th. October.
